DECEMBER 16, 2010, A day in which I’ll never forget. It was the day my mother died from complications with pancreatic cancer. The unnecessary discomfort and pain she endured is what led me to start researching medical cannabis. I often thought “What if there was something my mother could have taken that did not have so many side effects?” These side effects would often leave my mother dazed, confused and totally out of it.
I never would have thought that my home state of Ohio would legalize medical cannabis. I’m excited about the opportunities that will be available on September 8, 2018, The day medical cannabis is set to be in dispensaries throughout Ohio. Medical Cannabis has been proven to ease symptoms for serious conditions such as ALS, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, anxiety and many more diseases.
With Ohio being labeled as the epicenter of the Opioid crisis. Isn’t it time we look for other less addictive and deadly cures instead of opioids? It’s time for Ohio to become more proactive than reactive in this fight. I invite you to join me as The Ohio Cannabusiness Magazine seeks to educate, inform and inspire the public on the business of medical and recreational cannabis in Ohio and the world.
